"I came in broken and left holding the pieces of myself with tenderness. I finally feel safe in my own skin."
"We rediscovered each other. The sessions gave us a softer, kinder language for love."
"Healing from a narcissistic relationship felt impossible. This space showed me it wasn't — and I am free."
Held in Maun, Botswana in June 2026, the International Executive Retreat for BICA, ZICA and ICAM gathered CEOs and senior leaders of multimillion-dollar companies from Malawi, Zambia and Botswana. Among the presentations spanning leadership, strategy and people, Dr. Tsholo Zion took the stage to deliver a breathtaking keynote on Workplace Resilience & Mental Health — unpacking the journey from brokenness to wholeness and how each affects our productivity at work.
"How often do you assess your soul? What is the state of your soul? How aware are you of its true condition?"
Dr. Zion invited delegates to pause and engage in honest self-reflection, reminding the room that true wellbeing emerges when mind, body and spirit are in balance — and that the health of your soul determines how you show up in leadership, relationships and daily life.
She challenged the audience to look beneath the surface: bitterness, pride, fear, shame and envy are often indicators of deeper, unresolved struggles. Rather than managing symptoms, she urged leaders to address root causes — because lasting growth begins with an honest inner inventory.
At the heart of her message was the journey from brokenness to wholeness — a lifelong process of healing and becoming complete from the inside out. A restless soul chases validation and approval; a healthy soul knows fulfilment, clarity and inner stability.
Recognising the demanding nature of executive life, she encouraged regular self-assessment, therapy and intentional soul maintenance. When we lead from wholeness rather than brokenness, we make sounder decisions, build deeper relationships, and thrive both personally and professionally.
